Description of Measure and Categorization
Gastro Local is a system which encourages micro-tourism. Interested households can offer lunch or dinner to tourists. There are more than 10 households which offer lunch or dinner based on local food and products. Reservations can be made via phone, the choice of menus is limited. It engages people in tourism, but on a scale that helps preserving their identity. It provides a solution for local products and is flexible as regards the seasonal change in the number of tourists.
In terms of energy, systems like Gastro Local help avoiding the construction of large hotels and restaurants. It is also a solution to avoid mobility issues related to mass tourism and a solution for local agriculture products.
10 households that upgraded their kitchens to follow health regulations.
Especially in pandemic times, Gastro Local was a solution with least impact as this is not the main source of revenue.
Some money is needed to promote the concept.
